Host Introduction

Grey Matters was born from a 55+ seniors improv group, bringing maturity to their immaturity and a lifetime of lessons to the stage. With decades of experience in parenting, careers, relationships, and more, they prove comedy only gets better with age. Their quick wit, playful energy, and fearless spontaneity create hilarious, heartfelt moments inspired by real life.

Those Types, Richmond’s tallest improv team, proves what five weirdos can accomplish when they have nothing better to do on a Friday night. Brandon, Duke, Mark, Rachel, and Ricco lampoon the mundane through a surrealist lens, blending sharp, strange comedy with the kind of chaotic energy that feels both deeply intellectual and delightfully unhinged. Weird, dark, and just a little heartfelt, their style is unlike anything you’ve seen before.

Turning Point Recovery Society provides supportive and transitional, safe and secure housing, counselling services, and other support services for individuals and families who are impacted by affordability issues, family challenges or who are advanced in their recovery from addiction.

This RITS Musical Ensemble is a group of RITS-affiliated improvisers coming together for the very first time on May 15. Featuring Jon Lee-Son, Claire Torrence, Lawrence Chew, Alex Legere, and Nicolas Burmester, they’ll be creating fully improvised songs on the spot, all inspired by your suggestions. Expect big musical moments, unexpected harmonies, and a little bit of chaos!

First observed in 2024, The Home of Sapiens is a rapidly evolving comedic species led by Shay and Kelli. What began as an anomaly has grown into a full ensemble known for fast-paced, short-form improv, sharp group dynamics, and inventive twists on classic games. Their primary survival mechanism? Laughter: delivered early, often, and with precision.

Founded in April 2024, No Mortgage (Alexis, Mikey, Michaela, and Mo) quickly built a name for themselves with high-energy, quick-witted improv and a commitment to never settling down —until now. Known for playful chaos, sharp group chemistry, and scenes that escalate fast, they’ve been prime real estate on every stage they’ve hit. This marks their final show as a team, so consider this your last chance to indulge in their hilarity before they’re off the market.
